The strongest part of my art piece is how i kept the whole thing, including the background, cartoon-ish because that was the goal, to make a cartoon. My drawing could've improved a little and my dodge and burn tool could've been much more effectively incorporated into my piece. I could've improved my shadows a little.
I used the pen tool in illustrator to trace my drawing to make the outline darker so it could be more visible. Then, i used adobe to color it. In adobe, i used the move tool to move my picture around. Then i used the magic wand and quick selection tools to delete excess stuff or stuff that i didn't need, including my white background. I used the brush tool to paint my cartoon. Then i used the dodge and burn tool to add some shadows and lighten up some parts of my hair. I also brought in my background using the move tool, then holding down on the shift button while i made my picture bigger.
Nothing in this project was too hard or to easy. It was just right. Certain basic things i learned from digital imaging 1 were pretty easy. For example; the move tool and Quick selection tool were pretty easy. Coloring was pretty easy. The dodge and burn tools were new to me so it was kind of interesting to use. It wasn't hard though.
\I demonstrated the objectives of this project by keeping it cartoon like. i used the pen tool in illustrator to outline my drawing.
If i could do this assignment again then i would draw a better picture and maybe add some shoes to my cartoon. Other than that then there's nothing else i would change. On a scale of 1-10, i rate my piece a 7 because of the improvements that i could've made.

Adobe is the name of the manufacturer. Photoshop and Illustrator are both Adobe so which one are you discussing? How did you digitize your image?
